Through the revolutionary programs offered by the Ocean Institute, inquisitive children don`t get to fantasize about being a deep-sea explorer like Jacque Cousteau, they`re immersed in hands-on marine life education directly. The plant is nationally recognized for their extensive training on everything marine science and for bringing the sea directly to young explorers.
An avid proponent for this award-winning institute is acclaimed trumpeter Rick Braun, who has been doing his voice to pay support to the program. For years, Braun has been playing at the Ocean Institute`s popular jazz fundraiser, and this class the result is larger than ever with guest appearances from Euge Groove, Philippe Saisse and a surprise performer!

Rick Braun may be an award-winning jazz trumpeter, composer and producer, but he`s also a prime supporter for the progress of training for school children in California. He`s teamed up with the Ocean Institute to help get the mysteries of California`s coastal waters to life.
The institute`s annual jazz event raises funds for to keep the important educational programs by combining an elegant night of fine dining, cocktails, auctions and soothing music from talented performers. Joining Braun for this glamorous event is innovative artists Euge Groove and Philippe Saisse, plus a surprise guest later in the night!
Interested guests have two chances to have office in event kicking off this weekend. Opening night on Friday, February 4 begins with a wine reception from Pear Valley Vineyards followed by appetizers and a special concert by Braun and friends.
The chief effect on Saturday, Feb. 5 will be a big celebration with a cocktail reception, four-course dinner by chefs from The Balboa Bay Club & Resort and the Park Hyatt Resort and auctions. The dark will top off with another intimate concert by Braun and friends.
